Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

Promise Hospital of San Diego features a licensed Intensive Care Unit (ICU) that treats patients who are critically ill or severely injured. Our ICU is fully monitored with a 2 to 1 patient to nurse ratio insuring constant and close monitoring for all our patients.

Patients in our ICU have the benefit of receiving critical care for a longer period of time than at a traditional hospital thus providing them the opportunity to heal more effectively. Our patients will transition through the appropriate levels of care to continue their recovery goals before being discharged to their home or to a lower level of care. Getting patients home is our ultimate goal.

Our ICU provides:

  • Licensed ICU Beds
  • 2:1 Nurse Ratios
  • All Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certified Nurses
  • Ventilator Management
  • Critical Drips
  • Arterial Lines
  • Central Venous Pressure (CVP) Lines
  • Cardioversion
  • 24-Hour Cardiac Monitoring
  • Conscious Sedation
